Spreading Seeds,
and Knowledge
At Homes4Monarchs, we believe that any environmental improvement requires the activism and awareness of the community.

That is why, since 2016, Homes4Monarchs has organized, presented at, or otherwise participated in nearly 100 events!

Homes4Monarchs has partnered with nearly 2,000 volunteers to assemble seed packets and to organize CONEX.

Our volunteers have come from all across the Midwest, and have ranged in age from toddlers to senior citizens.

More than half of all our volunteer events were held specifically for K-12 students, and over half of our volunteers also fit into this age range.

Nearly 21,000 milkweed seed packets and 20,000 native-plant seedballs have been distributed to residents and organizations throughout the Midwest. 20,000 additional milkweed seed packets will be distributed beginning January 2020.

At Homes4Monarchs, we believe that the best way to actively apply your newfound knowledge. Which is why, before every volunteer event, we deliver a 30 minute slideshow presentation about monarchs, milkweed, and the importance of pollinators. That way, when our volunteers begin their work, they understand what these seeds are being used for and why their efforts are so important. And of course, we always let our volunteers take home a couple of packets to plant for themselves!

To us, education is as important as action. No matter how many milkweed seeds are planted, if we do not inform community members why they should grow milkweed instead of killing it, then nothing will change.
